1) I have an image sequence of images (stop motion) taken with my camera which I'm unable to pre-compose then use pixel motion frameblending to add easing to the linear sequence of images. As a workaround, I have saved the file to an uncompressed Quicktime movie and re-imported it.

When a mode adds to the color values of the layer underneath, the numeric value for every color channel (red, green and blue) is added to the corresponding values of each color channel underneath. Hey all! I'm working on a project with a lot of CG footage and in AE i've been time remapping all the precomps to get things timed right. It's ready for final delivery but I just noticed that AE is not doing any sort of frame blending (in this case I want pixel motion) to the shots! Is it seriously not possible to frame blend precomps???

Frame Blending is indeed only available for actual video footage. If it's not just regular Motion Blur you are after, then you can force that frameblendy-look for your precomp by enabling "preserve frame rate when nested" in the pre-Comp's Advanced settings and then apply a CC Force Motion blur Mangy_DogUK OP • 3 yr. ago

The effect doesn't seem to work. I'm not sure why, but if I go back and frame blend the layer before precomposition, it works EDIT: I think I know what you mean. Like if I precompose, and then frame blend the cmoposed layer, I need to hit "continuous rasterization" so that the frame blending happens to the parent layer that was composed right?

This is classic Pixel Motion frame blending glitches. You'll notice it between cuts if you go frame by frame. It's trying to add new frames and whenever the frames to either side are too different it doesn't know what to do - like cuts and crazy concert lighting or flashes. I've never used it on an entire clip for this reason.
