Cruit Island. Cruit (pronounced "Critch") Island, off the coast of West Donegal near Kincasslagh, is a small island measuring roughly 3 miles by one mile. It is approached by a bridge so access to it is easy. Beside the road bridge there is a smaller pedestrian bridge. There are no shops on Cruit but the drive back to Kincassalgh is very short.

Walk 5 ( approx. 2.5 hours ) This walk is a combination of public roadway and sandy beach. It is only to be undertaken when the tide is well out. Coming out of the cottages turn right for about 300 metres. Access the sandy beach on the left through the pedestrian right-of-way just to the right of the wide gate.
